Back in North Carolina!

25 hours and 1300 miles in the car later, I'm back in North Carolina after one of the busiest and most fun weekends of photography I have had!  On Friday I headed down south to Howell, NJ to shoot my friend Gloria, and her Standardbred mare Blue who she adopted as a two year old over 13 years ago.  I've known Blue for a long time, about as long as I've known Gloria, and this is the first opportunity I have had to photograph them together!  Here are a few samples from that day:

Later on that day I headed back north to spend the afternoon with Robin, and we headed out to visit a beautiful private farm in Bedminster.  I've never seen a fancier more beautiful facility.  Hopefully next time she takes me out there I will be able to meet and greet some more people and develop some contacts there!

On Saturday I took Tiana out to her lesson at a farm in Bedminster, and I had an opportunity to speak with the trainer and a boarder about my business as well.  What fun people out there!  I will probably be taking Tiana to more lessons this summer, and I'm looking forward to meeting more people out there!

Saturday afternoon I made my second trip out to Lightfields farm for a shoot with Sheryl and her two horses Cloudy and Santiago.  Cloudy was Sheryl's big jumper mare who is now 22 years old, but still a lovely golden chestnut, and also a total ham in front of the camera!  Santiago is 3 1/2 years old and already an enormous 17.3h.  He is a dark bay warmblood and has the attention span that you can expect from any baby.  We still had so much fun though!  Here are some samples:

On Sunday I made the trek down to south Jersey and photographed the Reindancer Schooling Show at Laurita Equestrian Center in New Egypt.  I photographed this series last year, and so I got to see many familiar faces!  I also had the opportunity to meet many new people which was loads of fun.  All the photos from the weekend have been loaded onto my website and can be found at www.kelseysullivan.smugmug.com

Any of the photos can be purchased by clicking the "Buy" button on the top right corner of the page.
